Far from his roots but in line with his passion for wine, François-Marie Wojcik acquired a small estate in Saint-Émilion, Château Alverne, in 2011 (now 3.60HA)
Lionel Wojcik is at once responsible for the wines (vines, vinification, maturation…) on both estates and also in charge of their development, quality and name-building.
The acquisition of an estate in need of complete restructuring in Corsica under the Patrimonio appellation (8HA) in December 2015 gave Lionel the opportunity to reconnect with his Corsican family roots by creating Domaine Paradella.”
Managing both estates in all their aspects, Lionel Wojcik is responsible for the wines—vineyards, vinification, aging—of each property, while also overseeing their growth and reputation.
He has built a professional and supportive team, working with his childhood friend at Domaine Paradella and with the friend he met at ISVV at Château Alverne.
He is thus at the heart of promoting to each and every member of the respective teams an ethos of enthusiasm for quality wines, respectful of their history and terroir and that of striving for demanding standards of excellence.
He leads both teams with the goal of sharing his passion for high-quality wines—balanced, respectful of their history and terroir—while upholding his high standards in the pursuit of excellence
Know-how and experience
Lionel Wojcik
Lionel Wojcik, a graduate of the Faculty of Oenology in Bordeaux, is an active exponent of competency and passion in his constant drive towards ever-evolving excellence. He also enjoys the eminent counsel and experience of one of Saint-Emilion’s foremost signatures, Louis Mitjavile (Tertre Roteboeuf, Roc de Cambes, Domaine de l’Aurage).
Frédéric Mariani
A lifelong friend of Lionel, Frédéric, like him, is originally from Sermanu (Boziu). His education (Master’s in Hydrobiology) and experience have allowed him to develop strong expertise. It was only natural for him to join Domaine PARADELLA, where he is now actively involved both in the vineyard and the cellar, working alongside Lionel Wojcik.
Jean-Baptiste Pedrazzini
Jean-Baptiste trained in the Bordeaux region. It was at the ISVV in Bordeaux in 2013 that his friendship with Lionel began.
Five years later, after gaining valuable experience at a winery in Saint-Émilion, Jean-Baptiste committed himself to Château ALVERNE.
Today, both in the vineyard and the cellar, he manages Château ALVERNE alongside Lionel Wojcik.
